On November 29, 2024, the RPA "National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan" held a ceremonial general meeting dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Academy, an outstanding scientist, academician Kanysh Satpayev. The general meeting was attended by academicians of the RPA "NAS RK", scientists of research institutes, guests of honor and media representatives. The followings spoke at the meeting: Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the "International Satpayev Foundation", academician Altynbek Nukhuly; Chief Advisor to the President of the RPA "NAS RK", Director General of the Ch. Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, academician Z.E. Kabyldinov; Director of the M. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, academician K.I. Matyzhanov; Director of the D.A. Kunayev Mining Institute, academician N.S. Buktukov, as well as other academicians. They made presentations on the contribution of the great scientist to the science of Kazakhstan and his scientific and creative activities. At the end of the meeting, awards were presented to a number of academicians for their achievements in science and contribution to the development of the Academy. The academicians also adopted an Appeal to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the development paths of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, celebrating its 78th anniversary, and science in Kazakhstan as a whole.
