On November 25, 2024, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Vietnam Academy of Sciences and Technologies signed an Agreement on Scientific Cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the presidents and vice-presidents of the two Academies, their advisers, as well as directors of research institutes.

Within the framework of the Agreement, both Academies will carry out research work in various fields of science. Mutually beneficial cooperation between science organizations and individual scientists will also be established, and a Roadmap for research work will be developed. Undoubtedly, this agreement will be an important step in the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

Based on the signed agreement, the following areas will be implemented:

1. Organization of joint scientific conferences, symposia and other scientific events, including schools for young scientists;
2. Exchange of scientific and scientific-technical information;
3. Promotion of interaction between young scientists of both countries and other areas.

Currently, both Academies are members of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS).
