Information about the meeting with the delegation from China
in the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On March 26, 2019, a meeting was held in the NAS of Kazakhstan with a delegation from the PRC, headed by Ma Yuehong, Vice President of the Shenyang Branch of the Academy of Sciences of China. The delegation included the head of the research group on new catalytic materials and new alkane conversion processes of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Tian Zhijian, representatives of the Chinese company “Sygon” Guo Ying, Huang Gang and Hua Tao, Program Officer of the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Academy of China Li Wanjun, manager of the Institute of Technological Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of China Li Xiangyu.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the creation of the Institute of Fuel and Joint Ventures for the production of Supercomputers were discussed, as well as issues of financing individual projects within the framework of grant financing under the PRC program. During the negotiations, the PRC delegation was acquainted with the history of the creation of the NAS RK. The President of the NAS RK Zhurinov M.Zh. noted that currently there are 6 branches of the scientific branch in the NAS RK, such as the Department of Earth Sciences; Department of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science; Department of Chemical and Technological Sciences; Department of Biological and Medical Sciences; Department of Social Sciences and Humanities; The Department of Agrarian Sciences, as well as reported on the receipt of Kazakh scientists (M.Zhurinov - President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Head; Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Baeshov; Prof. A. Baeshova; Associate Professor G. Iztleuov) certificates of scientific discovery in the field of chemistry "The phenomenon of post-electrolysis chemical dissolution of titanium in aqueous acidic solutions. " The head of the Chinese delegation, Ma Yuehong, noted that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has 104 institutes and 12 branches and that the purpose of their arrival in Kazakhstan is to familiarize themselves with the production technology in our country and exchange experience, as well as questions about pipeline corrosion problems. Representatives of the Beijing Chemical Research Institute are engaged in mining copper and green technology. Representatives of the company “Sugon” noted the global interest in their computing systems. In addition, Kazakhstan representatives of the meeting were invited to Beijing to participate in the conference and to present supercomputers, which will be held in Germany and the United States. A delegation from the PRC visited JSC "Institute of Fuel, Catalysis and Electrochemistry. D.V. Sokolsky, where she was acquainted with the research work of the laboratories of the Institute, the main scientific directions of the Institute were voiced. Workshops were held, during which opportunities for mutual cooperation were discussed.
